TRAINORAMA PRODUCTION UPDATE

In revamping our advertising and product distribution through the Bobs Models & Hobbies website. We have gradually place a more diversified number of stock that can be ordered. Secure payment facilities like Direct Transfers are being added to the online shopping cart on top of the existing Paypal  mode of payment. and we hope that this will present a more seamless and efficient experience for our customers.

The website is supported by our Ebay shop ‘Bobs 1001’ which contains many varying products. We also have specials from time to time that are advertised on Ebay only.

We are also gradually building our model rail product offering to contain more than just the previous TrainOrama and Austrains releases. We are stocking On Track Models, Eureka Models, Southern Rail Models, and Auscision Models to name a few. This makes us more equipped to serve the average Australian modeller’s needs when they come in store.

These models will be released at the special reduced price of $285 each whilenstock last. This is the cheapest and best 48 & 830s Class around!

However, a very limited quantity of 836 remains available.

We are happy to accept preorders for these models (WITHOUT PAYMENT) to reserve the models of your choice. After the initial paid preorders are posted out, we will contact you to confirm your road numbers, arrange for a payment, and pickup / postage.

GM Class and S Class:

Work has started on the next run of GM Class at the factory. Most significant is the re-tooling of the rear end of GM22 SSR to improve the model.  Most pleasing is the recent factory-negotiated tooling modifications to take this opportunity to upgrade these models to include working directional marker lights. They will also be the first TrainOrama models to be released with the 21 pin circuit board rather than the 8 pin one we have used previously. This will enable the purchaser to have a wider choice of fitting sound chips currently available on the market. They will remain DCC and sound ready with speakers inside, leaving preferred choice of system up-to the purchaser.

This run will include Commonwealth Railways, AN Green and Gold, and SSR versions.

As we have already announced the re-runs of the Victoria Railways S-Class locomotive in both VR Blue and V/Line Orange liveries. These will be run together with GM Class model rerun.

At this point in time, the release date for the S and GM Class models is expected during the last quarter of 2016. We will be taking orders for these, once the detail of liveries and cab runing numbers are available, but payment is not necessarily required.

Other works:

A re-run of the TrainOrama 44 Class and a very limited run of the SAR 930 Class is also in the pipe-line. An opportunity will be taken to add many improvements on our landmark models first released in 2005, including a new chassis, large motor, working directional marker lights and 21 pin plug for DCC and Sound. We will release details in regards to this rerun later on and it is envisaged for some time in the first half of 2017.

Other re-runs of favourite TrainOrama and Columbia Models rollingstock are comming soon. Always keep up to date with us through our new website, our Facebook page, and the AMRM News.
